I have a ATI Radeon HD 3800 Series card. My tv has a VGA conector so my connection is DVI to VGA. After setting my video card for the second monitor I recieve the desktop on the tv but nothing else. The idea was to watch movies and play some games with the tv.

Is there something I'm missing in the set-up? I assumed the tv would show "same as" the computer monitor with shortcuts and curser.

Any help is appreciated as I've no idea where to go from here.
