Viacom HD Channels added

Not sure if anybody realized this yet so I'll post the link to the DSLForums thread; http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r225...nnels-add-Date

Basically here are the channels:

MTV HD 710
VH 1 HD 717
CMT HD 721
Nick HD 752
Spike HD 554
Comedy Central HD 690

They should be out everywhere by the end of this week I believe. Look through the link to see where they were already released. They were released in NNJ today.

Good news... Here in RI as of 6/24... Sometime this morning they added all 6 viacom Hd channels. The rollout has officially begun.

Only problem is, no HD broadcasts..Only channel in HD tonight is Spike.

They went live today. Guide info might not be available yet. Also, if you are using a favorites list, make sure they get added. They didn't get added to our favorites list automatically (I think the last channels added did) so it looked like they weren't there but looking at the full menu, they were.

guys, i have a problem. when i tune to spike or comedy central HD, it says im not subscribed. do i need to order extreme HD to get these? if so, then im verrrry saaad.

Yes, unfortunately you do. They are phasing out the premier as they want everyone on the Extreme. This is their way of trying to convince you before your contract is over. I was able to actually save $5 a month by switching, however, they lessened my contract by a year. I doubt that you will get ANY additional channels without switching. Correct me guys is I'm wrong.

wait, how where you able to save money, if the extreme hd plan costs 10 dollars more a month.?

I called and yes, they switched me to extreme. I was fortunate that there was no change in monthly cost. I also took the full movie channel, I currently have the $25 movies+HBO package, but now get Cinemax all free for 2 months ($50 savings) and if I call by a certain date, I can go back to my $25 plan. If I want it, it is $5 more per month. So far so good, but I haven't seen my new statement yet, should be interesting
