Default Help - HDMI no signal

I have an HD Home Media DVR box and when it was installed last year they guy had to do something with power, menu, options for some overide to occur to make the signal work via HDMI. Anyone know the steps involved to do that again? Right now it just says dont' support dvi 1080i on the hdmi input screen.

Any help appreciated.
