I think you guys need to familiarize yourself with the DVR controls and options/settings.

When you want to record a series choose "record series with options" instead of just "record series". This will allow you to choose: how many to save, record shows on just this channel or all channels, record only at this time or at all times (to not record dupes), etc...

When you want to record a show that is on: tune to the channel the show is on and press record. This records the entire show that is listed and times in the guide. Dont try to create a manual recording from the menus.

"record series with options" is where I went, and I did have selected channel and all new chosen. It still came up with schedules fro three different channels. Perhaps I need to cycle power and try again. Like when Windows 3.0 used to reboot by itself. Perhaps that was Microsoft's plan to solve memory leaks. Perhaps Verizon should put that in the DVR code. Oh well I should just be happy with the HD I have and pay for without complaints. Perhaps I should just spend less time on the couch. Oh but I need to be there when I want to watch, cause I can't trust the DVR.
