not necessarily. I have Cablevision and I get Stern OnDemand. I don't get Stern OnDemand in HD, but I haven't looked for it. As for FIOS, I am not sure. Best to call Verizon on that one.

No, FiOS doesn't have Howard TV. As for what rkkeller said, there are other deals between Comcast and CV, so it may actually be a Comcast exclusive, but they give rights to CV.

no stern is a deal-breaker for me. i called fios tonight and had my finger on the buttom to get the service but then 2 things happened. first i asked about taxes and fees the rep said he didn't know them? that was BAD! Next, I was asked for my social security #? I asked how my credit 'good or bad' effects my television and phone contract? he said and I quote "well, depending on how your credit is effects other procedures that come after the credit check"? WTF?? I pretty much cancelled and said have a great night. Hidden fees, credit check? and No Howard TV as well I'm sure as a million other problems and oh don't forget you have to lock into a contract, not with cablevision! Years ago I had a verizon phone contract and was given a $19.99 deal/month, somehow I never paid less than $80.00 every month which was why I switched to cablevision to begin with.. Ughhhh... Thank god I hung up the phone on verizon... They still haven't gotten away from their corrupt money practices if you ask me! Cablevision gives you a price, and that's the price you pay month after month.. Nice job Cable, god bless you and we all love you!!

one other ps to my post is that Im a computer tech and go into peoples homes alot.. I've seen now quite a many times people switching over to Fios had then switched back to cable and they probably had to pay contract cancellation fees or maybe they cancelled the contract during the 15 day grace period verizon gives... for some reason people are switching back to cable and if you ask me it's probably because of all the hidden fees that come up on the bill... When will verizon learn that you can't do that to people when we have choices of services... 'when the customer has a choice of service, the customer wins'.

Default RU Crazy Iamjoe

First off, if you base your life decisions on whether or not you can see Howard Stern, you must be half retarded.

Secondly, Verizon only has contracts if you want price reductions.

Thirdly, if you are a "COMPUTER TECH", obviously you see the advantages of having fiber optics coming into your home instead of a strand of copper?

Finally, you obviously have a mission(alterior motives) since this is your first and second post.

He dug this thread outve its grave from last year. Hillarious.

Cablevision sux my friend. I have it.. and hate it... and dont play like youre a "computer tech" Youre an obvious paranoid cable tech... you write like one anyway. Id gladly pay an extra $10 in taxes and fee's to rid myself of this 1990's junk called optimum. Why oh WHY wont Verizon come down my street ~!!!!!! ?

I agree witrh Faulkie.... If you base your life decisions around ONE show and ONE guy then you have bigger problems then cable. Also, my bill is substantially lower with Fios even with the taxes then my cable company. Lastly, I also agree that if you are a computer tech you mustn't be very good if you can't see an advantage to fiber.

I have had my fiber since Aug 2005 and love it. I would never go back. Might threaten since VZ billing screws up so bad. But copper stinks just like the jerk Howard.

Wow!!! Howard is here.... You must be pretty upset fios doesn't carry you man...
Actually I can understand the real Howard being mad. Afterall it's more money for him if he's on Fios.

On a more serious note: I don't want to imply I have something against Howard Stern... All I am saying (although I cannot speak for everyone) is that I think it is NOT a wise move to base decisions on ONE aspect of product, especially one individual. I would not do it. However, to each his own. If Howard is that important then Fios is not for you.

I agree tmp I would not base on one channel. I currently have dish and have been thinking of switching to Fios TV like I said I have Fios Internet and love it.
I have a hard time figuring out there package deals. I just don't like the way they have it layed out.

If you are Howard and not some Obsessed fan, there are some Cool things on the HS show. Oh, I am old enough to make my own judgements.

Sorry for being a Jerk. And I guess if it floats your boat, your viewing preference is your bussiness. I have a life and don't base it on HS. I have to admit I have watched HS show a few of times, but would not drop Fios because it is not there. So enjoy.
