I have 3 issues with my FIOS HD and I wanted to see if anyone else has it. I have I had the service for 4 months:
HD channels, usually when watching sports changes speed making viewing unwatchable. This happends every once in a while but once it happends it does not go away. Had the DVR replaced but the problem persists. I figured out how to resolve the problem but its annoying I loaded Media Manager on my PC to listen to music from my PC. Sometimes my DVR loads media manager and sometimes it does not. And sometimes it crashes my DVR. We do not get MSNBC in North Jersey. |

1) What do you mean by "speed changes?" You mean the video and audio speed up like it's being fast forwarded?
2) No experience with the Media Manager, sorry. 3) That's probably a Verizon issue. Perhaps they aren't allowed to show it where you live. Does it show up on the printable channel listing on Verizon's site? Joe |

Speed changes in the video. Its almost like a film getting stuck in the projector. It drags and then goes fast.
Media Manager is in beta but I was hoping someone loaded. I heard Cablevision has an exlusive with MSNBC in Northern Jersey. |

I have a neTVizon PCTV by NetFaze Technologies a All-in-One LCD flat panel display 1920 X1080, with a removable computer and hard drive as well as HDTV, However I don't have that problem I believe the latest version of Media Manager takes care of that.

I am having the same problem with my hi def channels. It seems to have a stop frame motion, not exactly stuttering. It does get annoying to the point that I don't like to watch it. I don't have the problem on my lower channels. Only hi def and it seems to get worse when there is more movement in the picture(sports). I have the Motorola HD DVR from Verizon. I haven't contacted Verizon yet.

I think you may be referring to the "stutter" we discussed in this thread. As far as a permanent fix, there is none that I know of at this time. 1080i setting for HD is a problem for the MOTO boxes. I sometimes still have to do the 480p-10min-back to 1080i "fix", to solve the problem.
HDMI frame loss vs. Component Read over the thread if you need detailed info. |

My problem is more the SD quality degrading. The HD on my 56" and 42" is stellar and even shocking at times. Never had any HD problems.
The SD went from being >< this close to HD quality to DirecTV SD blocky blurry type quality. |
