I'm just trying to find out what the new promos will be beginning Jan 6 when the current ones expire.

On your comment, yes, DirecTV requires an internet connection and their O.D. sucks however my daughter has Fios and the O.D. doesn't offer that much more although it is a lot faster getting it (even though you can't FF through most of them).

And worse than that, if you stop in the middle and then want to finish later it offers you the choice of RESUME but starts at the beginning anyway. Then you have to do that SLOW fast-forward which is double time. Getting through an hour of what you've already seen still takes a gruesome half hour.

And then if you mean to push PAUSE and you accidentally hit STOP you are back at square one and screaming at the TV.

Dont be fooled by X2 with on-demand Zip, it is not just double the normal speed.

I just FF a 50 minute episode of Dexter in 6 minutes, so in reality, FF "X2" for on-demand is closer to 8X normal speed.

Whoa...THAT I gotta try.
If anything the X2 always stuck me as SLOWER than double time. Of course, like a watched kettle, time slows down when you are waiting patiently. I think it was one of Einstein's corollaries.

But tell me WHY do they have a so-called RESUME function that rarely does.

The RESUME glitch is a known issue, and supposedly they are working on a fix.

That's good to hear Italian, because it is getting on my last nerve.

While I have you, I am unhappy that I cannot find anything from my Channel 11, THE CW, On-Demand (Supernatural, Arrow, Vampire Diaries, etc.) Can I assume that since I know the "W" stands for Warner, as in Time-Warner Cable, that Warner Brothers simply will not provide their major competitor with content?

I want to play catch-up with Supernatural and it is a pain in the ass to stream the content in rather low definition from my PC to the TV via VGA. But needs must I guess.
