I got billed for all those advertised freebies too. I had to call for three months to get each of the bills straightened out with something like a "good customer credit."
I guess they presume a certain portion of people will FORGET that a half dozen items were offered free and just cut them a check.

Verizon billing is HORRIFIC, whether by incompetence or design I do not know, but you have to go over every bill with a fine toothed comb and call and call and call.
