what are the pros & cons 0n exchanging fioz dvr for tivo

youll lose your On-demand and widgets. If you have multi-room DVR that obviously wont work either. Also keep in mind that if your FiOS DVR stops working years from now, itll be replaced for free. The same wont apply to your Tivo unless they have some kind of extended warranty program ???

i just changed to a TiVo HD and loving it. The expandable storage is great ( i tend to dvr full seasons and watch in one sitting) it has netfix streaming built in even with the monthly fee it is cheeper then the muti-room dvr i was able to get the new 2 tuner cable-card from Verizon(cheeper then 2 single stream cards ).And i kept a Verizon non dvr-hd box for vod but i don't really use it so I will probably sent it back plus if u have more then one TiVo u can do multi room viewing ( TiVo's talk to each other )plus u can archive recordings on to your mac or pc to save or burn to dvd.and u can plug in an over the air antenna and get local HD broadcasts.My installer was so impressed he is switching to TiVo's also.
don"t buy at full price amazon is cheeper and the TiVo website has refurbished units cheeper then that.
plus they have fun online components that pretty much replaced the widgets i used on the Verizon box but the Verizon box implementation of them is a lot smoother and quicker.
but for me I'm loving the TiVo a LOT!!!!
