Before they start working on higher resolution, I wish they would finish working on higher static contrast ratio flat panels. My old crt tvs put plasma and lcd to shame in that regard...

But to that way of looking at it, what would 55"-65" models cost $$$$$$

and then not to mention weight, you certainly wouldn't be hanging them.

I dont want bigger CRTS, I want bigger flat panels with the contrast of CRTS....

i have a 4K tv for sale in the for sale section! It is the LG 84LM9600. All reasonable offers will be considered!

Nope it's brand new! Won it in a contest but it won't fit up my elevator to my apt. So now it's in climate controlled storage costing me money lol

I have read a lot on 4K , and it seems to me for one is this a big jump from 1080p.
Can the eyes see the difference. Will the studios be willing to Remaster old 4k files and bring them up to date. The BDA is just looking into all of this. So will there be a super Blu-ray disc or Throw Blu-ray in the dump with DVD, Laser Disc and VHS.
Some people feel 4K is a waste of time and they should go right to 8k and get it over with. But here we go the buzz words ''Ultra'', people jump into it to find out it ain't that Ultra at all .So again every 10 years they want us to chase the rabbit . I'm done, Blu-ray is my last new format. But i'm sure there will be enough suckers out there so they can cash in on new formats...cheers
