Angry wrong time zone for hd channels

i am in california, sanfransico pacific time.

my problem is my standard def channels are pacific time and my HD channels are eastern time.

lets say i am watching somthing in standard definition and I decide I want to watch it in HD. So I change the channel to hd version of the channel i am watching. the problem is the hd version of the show played 3hrs earlier.

is this a problem for everyone or is there something wrong with my box

It's definitely not a problem for everyone. My suggestion would be to contact U-verse Tech Support. Has this problem always happened since you started with U-verse, or is it recent?

Make sure you give them as much detail as possible when you call so they can provide you with the best solution.

I haven't seen that problem. May be a bad box or bad programming. You could get it switched out, but you'd loose all your recorded shows.

I would love to have that problem and be able to watch/record on EST settings for time shifting. However, except for sports, most of what I watch has been recorded to my DVR for "manual" time shifting.

It has to be the feed they are sending you. It may be they need to add some equipment to allow for the west coast HD feed. I'd call AT&T.

Your locals are all est time too? Ive noticed some of my other channels (discovery)having different shows on SD compared to HD, didnt even think about timezones. But all my local channels both SD and HD are the right timezone.

To be honest, i havent watched anything under channel 1000 since i had uverse installed a couple weeks ago. Their HD lineup has everything. Ill check when i get home.
