Default non functioning remotes

My install was monday and it went well and worked for the first day. The tech set up the remote and showed the functions, no problem. When I tried it the second day, it turned on the tv and changed chanells and nothing more. no menu, guide, recording etc. I have re programmed it and followed the att help page but they don't address a remote that only changes chanels. I just followed the suggestion of rebooting the rg and that did nothing. Anyone else had this happen? This remote seems far from user friendly, I am close to returning the whole mess to them. I really don't want to spend 45 minutes trying to understand someone in India, thanks

That's weird, I have yet to get a tech support rep outside of the US. Either way, I would suggest possibly changing the batteries as a first step. Second, if that doesn't work, see if there's an AT&T Experience store in your area where they are demoing U-verse. If so, call and see if they can give you a new remote.

Default non functioning remotes

I saw nothing about this in the literature but accidently fixed my problem by pressing the att button. Is there an aftermarket remote that would power all of the uverse stuff? thanks

I've been using my Harmony remote with no issues at all.

You mentioned rebooting the rg but Did you power cycle the set top boxes?
