Default Uvserse picture stuttering

I own a 3 year old Sony LCD HD projection TV(42") model KDF42WE655 and ever since I have had Uverse, which is going on since about Sept. 2007, I have had some minor issues with picture stuttering. Fox ex. when I am watching live sports in HD or a movie let's say on HBO, I'll notice an occasional picture stuttering. What I mean is the picture will go from being very fluid while watching the motion to a slightly slower motion where the picture kind of stutters or slows down for a second or two and appears choppy, then goes back to its normal motion flow. It is not a huge problem, but move of an annoyance. I recently had a Uverse tech out to add another box to a room and he checked all stats on the RG and everything was fine. Is the problem my Sony HD TV or could it be a problem with Uverse. I talked to a friend at party the other night who also has Uverse, but has never seen the problem at all (he does have a different TV set than me.). He mentioned that some of the older LCD HD sets had different refresh rates or frame ratings than the newer models. Is this a known issue with older Sony LCDs or is it a Uverse problem?

Sounds like more of a Uverse problem then your display.

Yes, it is not a TV problem. It's a signal delivery issue.

The bad news - The problem is with your signal

The Good News- The issue can be corrected (most likely) over the phone.

What to do: Call U-Verse and be ready to provide them with these key bits of information:

Does it stutter (Uverse will classify it as Freezing and Pixelation) on all Channels?

Do you notice that it is happening more during a particular time of day?

Does this happen on all Television sets or jsut one in particular?

The first step that a good rep will take is to correct a setting in your Residential Gateway. If s/he finds that the gateway is correctly calibrated s/he will then schedule a technician to take care of this for you. :-)

if the tech appears a bit lost... say... can you retrain my vdsl? hehe that will freak him/her out that you know to do that .
