evidently my apartment is uverse capable and i just had some representatives come to my door. There total for what i have now from TWC and DTV switched over to uverse was like $130. As to the $80 i'm paying right now.
He told me that when the redemption department calls tomarrow they'll match that price of $80. Seems like they're really trying to get customers. Anyways i'm looking for tv and internet at the best price with the most options. should i consider uverse? |

I'm actually skeptical about the accuracy of that quote. Uverse is consistently cheaper than other options out there. What is your DTV setup (how many receivers, packages, etc) and what is your cable modem bandwidth?

actually, if you bundle phone, tv and internet, uverse had the exact same price comcast was offering. 114. That was with nothing extra added on either of them. Just their basic packages per their websites.

for my dtv setup i have an HDDVR, a standard receiver, dvr, HD, and it's the plus package with 250 channels i think.
I've been looking at uverse and i like the technology, but regular prices they state seem RIDICULOUS. for u300 and 6.0 mbps they want $130! If uverse can give me u200 or u300 and 10mbps internet for $80 a month i'll do it. We'll see when they call me |

The Directv Choice Plus HD DVR package is $73 per month, so either you are still within a introductory subsidy or TWC internet is charging you $7.

I recently looked in to U-Verse for my employer. He currently uses Cox and wanted to switch all features (phone, internet, and cable) over to ATT. The bundle pricing was significantly less than that of Cox and was overall much better. They quoted me $150 for all which included every premium channel available.

The apartment complex could have a bulk agreement with TWC. I lived in a condo once that was like this and the cable TV (analog) was in the maintanance fee we paid. So to add HD and internet the DVR rental and internet fee was all we would have to pay for plus any premium packages we wanted. I only had the internet service at the time so it only cost me about $60 for the digital cable box and internet. Based on that, it is quite possible that it is only $80, I guess.
