Someone from a marketing agency hired by AT&T came to our house yesterday and offered for us to try out AT&T U-verse U-400 package + DSL fiber-optic internet MAX package for one month. I figured why not?! I currently have Time Warner's Roadrunner cable for internet and Dish for satellitel TV. Dish's lack of HD programming has me looking around a little bit.
Anyway, I did some research on U-verse and found a couple of deal breakers. One... I can only tape one program in HD at a time. This sucks because on a weeknight, I could easily have two HD programs taping at the same time. Two... and the more serious problem... is that I think I can only access the DVR from one TV. SO if my living room TV has the DVR, I can't watch taped shows at night from another room. This would be a huge and non-negotiable problem for me, but I am not 100% sure if this is the case. Can someone please confirm that? Either way, I'll try out the service for a month and see. I would appreciate any comments or tips as well. Thank you. |
