Default They just frustrate me...

I only have problems with the main DVR, but ever since we have had U-verse, we have technical issues once every 2 months at the most. Just recently it was replaced because live HD tv would freeze. Turns out we are way too close to the box so we get a STRONG signal, sometimes too strong.

Today, the ants or snow picture of death came on the tv and the guy didn't even run tests, he just wanted to do a disaster recovery. Luckily, it came back on itself within 45 minutes, but I found out from my mother it has happened before. I was passed onto someone higher up who made an assumption as if it was fact and assured me it wasn't U-verse.

He just said it was my HDMI cable without explanation or anything since its a new DVR machine.

What do you think? The guy couldn't even give me "compensation" because I have had it so much, in which I replied "I'm maxed out because your product is inconsistent", end chat.

that does sound like it may be a cable. do you have componant and digital audio cable to put in its place for a bit? I had to have my dvr replaced and I never got the snow/ant screen. I was more getting blank screen or it wouldnt fully boot.

Try a different cable, what can it hurt? If it stll doesn't work, request a different techncian. Still not working? Change providers.
