Default Adding additional set top boxes to my U-verse service

I recently got AT&T U-verse tv service but I only have one box, the Cisco DVR. I want to add another tv to my home, can I buy one of the Motorola or Cisco U-verse boxes offered on Ebay or Craigslist and just hook it up to the new tv? I would really rather not have to pay an extra $7 every month every time I add a tv to my home. thanks

You can, but the box won't work until you get it activated by AT&T. And in doing so, you will be charged the $7 per month fee. So then not only will you be out the monthly charge, but you'll have paid for the box and be out that money too.

I still think they need to go back to their first four rooms free thing they used to do. $7 per month per DVR is just ridiculous.
