Default I'm thinking about switching from Dtv to U-Verse and wanted to know

how the DVR for u-verse compares to Dtv. There are a lot of features on Dtv's DVR that I would hate to do without. Can someone tell me if they are similar or a big difference. Thanks

1. Advance Search - jump straight to tomorrow or 2 weeks away to a certain time.

2. Click on info while on a channel number and it puts the programming vertical for that channel so you can scroll down.

3. Be able to search for programming by just HD or another category.

I guest those are the ones that come to the top of my head. Thanks

  1. You can jump 24 hrs ahead. Hit the button enough times and you would advance 2 weeks, I guess.
  2. I'm not sure what you are talking about scroll down, but there is a way to surf through the channels at the bottom of the screen while watching a given channel. There is also a way to scroll down the guide as well.
  3. All of the HD channels are the same number as the SD channels+1000. So, for example, where ESPN SD is 602, ESPN HD is 1602. All of the HD channels are grouped together for easy HD surfing.
Also there are a lot of additional features available online.

while on the guide if you press the zoom/enter button (bottom right) it will let you scroll to a specific day so you don't have to count how many times you hit FFWD

If you press info it will just opaque over the picture
