If anyone thinks Laurinitis isn't capable or big enough, you haven't watched many Buckeye games, if any.

Remember Jack Lambert, one of the meanest guys to ever step on a field, he was about 6'2" & I am not positive of his exact weight but it was definitely less than 250lbs.

Heart is was matters and I think Laurinitis has it. Could be wrong but I think he will be the anchor of that defense for years to come as you said.

I just don't get it:

Rams release linebacker Tinoisamoa

The St. Louis Rams have released linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa, the team's leading tackler in 2008.

"This was a difficult decision based on a lot of factors," Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said Friday in a news release. "I have a great deal of respect for Pisa and wish him all of the best."

Tinoisamoa, a six-year veteran drafted by the Rams in the second round of the 2002 NFL draft, recorded 135 tackles in 2008, 88 of which were solo.

Tinoisamoa spent much of the previous two seasons on the injured-reserve list.

The release of Tinoisamoa is certainly a surprise. It means Chris Draft will likely be starting at outside LB.

Just read on ESPN that the Rams may be for sale soon. If they come back to L.A. I will be first in line to welcome them back!!

Probably a pipe dream, but who knows?

The Rams are definitely for sale. Chip Rosenbloom and his sister would prefer to sell to a St. Louis group, but may have to consider outside offers. Stan Kroenke has a 40% stake, but his ownership of 2 Denver teams is preventing him from buying controlling interest. It was reported this morning that Dave Checketts, the Blues owner, is very much interested and is working on putting together a local group to buy the Rams.

Regardless of the above, there are other factors that complicate the issue. First is the stadium. Regardless of who buys the team, it cannot be moved before 2014 because of the lease. Today's report in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is great news for St. Louis fans who would like to see the team stay put.

Default Rams sign Ronald Curry

I don't know if I should even be remotely happy about this:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4348425

Hopefully he can catch a ball for us.

He did have decent seasons in 2004, 2006, and 2007.

Sure we are 31 out of 32 in ESPN's power rankings, but...

31 (31)Rams2-14-0The Rams' projected starting O-linemen earned the highest average Madden 2010 ratings in the division. Hmmm. (Sando)

Smith signs with Rams

Associated Press

ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Rams on Thursday signed offensive tackle Jason Smith, the second overall pick of the draft, a day before opening training camp.
The 6-foot-5, 306-pound Smith is expected to be an immediate starter for the Rams, 2-14 last season and with only five wins over the last two seasons. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
All the team's draft picks are under contract heading into the first full-squad workout under new coach Steve Spagnuolo on Friday.
Smith began his career at Baylor as a tight end and started 31 games, 24 at left tackle and seven at right tackle, after growing out of that position. In 1,147 plays at left tackle his last two seasons, the Rams said Smith allowed only 4 sacks.
