WOW, what an ugly game. Both starting pitchers looked awful last night. However, that is not a fair comparison, as our #1 took the hill against their #5. Not acceptable. Can't take anything away from Wang this year, but he HAS to win those games in which he's up against another team's #5.

Let's give props to LaTroy Hawkins. Looks like getting rid of the fabled #21 jersey has brought him some luck (and has gotten the fans off his ass everytime he comes into the game). He saved our asses last night. Shaky bullpen tonight. Moose going anything past 5IP is a bonus. Looks like Farnsy will get another shot, this time against an actual "team".

LAst nights game was ridiculous. I agree that anything past 5 innings is a bonus with moose. Let's hope the bats can do the damage against Beckett like they did last night

Let's hope, but don't count on it. Its tough enough to have two big offensive nights in a row, as it is. Nevermind trying to have the second against Beckett. I'm not expecting much tonight, but am hoping to eat my words on this!!!

Man that's soooooo funny, cause i was saying that last night!! I can't stand him at all -- and its too bad because i think he's a good player. I just think he's a whiny-ass beezo. In one of those cleveland games a pitch glanced off his sleeve and he hopped around like he was shot with a 12 gauge or something... Can't stand that punk.

We won and that is all that matters.
Going into the game last night, I had a hard time convincing myself that Wang could replicate his success vs the red sox.
Wang was wild and that did not help him. sox are good hitters. Let's not forget that.

Hawkins is looking very good. He did save us last night with a strong performance(again).
Then Bruney came in and slammed the door.
Those 2 relievers are shining right now. I'm liking what I see.

Tonite we'll see what Moose has for us. Like you said, anything more than 5 IP is a bonus.
We have Farnsy available tonight, Albie, Mo and probably Traber. So we are ok.
I don't think Joba will return to the team until we play in chicago. Next Tues night.

That's exactly y i hate him, every time he gets hit he grimaces like he is taking his first shit in a week and then hops around like a bitch . He needs to look at Craig biggio who has been hit more times then a bong in amsterdam, that guy gets up and runs to first every single time.. and like you said he is a good player but his crying is outweighing his play

The yanks need to do something immediately to replace Mussina, he needs to go, it's like tee ball out there for manny and the sox...when he tries to get a power hiter out with a 87 mph fastball, then he sould be a man and say I need to retire...it's embarassing

he's a $16 million middle reliever... there is much more to come in terms of games like this one, i'm afraid. the yanks just have to be in the mindset that when he's set to pitch, they need to score 6 runs.

how fitting is it that Mussina and Giambi are in their final year together... two proud vets with little to nothing left still hanging on by the size of their contracts... sad to see. Moose=16mill dollar middle reliever and Giambi=20mill dollar pinch hitter in the mold of steve balboni.
