Default NBA '07-'08 season

The season is almost here, so who's excited for it? I'm a Cavs and Nets fan. Cavs are gonna be a contender again, and the Nets might have a shot. I can't believe they haven't gotten rid of Frank yet though. He's terrible. Absolute garbage. I was asking for his departure last November and my wish has never been granted. Anyways, I think the west rep will win it again. The east sucks. Speaking of the east, Boston's getting way too much hype and that will hurt them. Hype sucks. Too much hype leads to bad things. My Nets were a perfect example of that last year.

My top three in the conferences:
East:
1. Toronto
2. Cleveland
3. Chicago

1. San Antonio
2. Phoenix
3. Dallas

Being a Cavs fan I obviously think they will win it all, especially when the greatest player in the game today is on the team. My only thing with the Cavs is they could use another player to compliment Lebron, I heard that Shawn marion is still looking to get out of Pheonix, the cavs should really pursue him as Lebron & Marion would make a deadly 1-2 punch!!!

EAST
1. Cavs-King James, enuff said.
2. Celtics (if those 3, KG, Allen & Pierce play well together they will be hard to beat)
3. Hawks-this team is gonna suprise this year, Joe Johnson is solid & I think Childress & Josh Smith are gonna breakout this year, plus they raked in the draft getting Horford(florida) & Law(texas a&m)

WEST
1. San Antonio-Obvious
2. Dallas-Nowitski is just awesome
3. Golden St.- suprise team here as I think some of that post season magic will carry over to this year, & Baron Davis MUST stay healthy

Finals
Cavs sweep Spurs 4-0!!!

I don't know which teams would be the top contenders other than the Pistons, Spurs, Suns, Mavs, Cavs and Lakers. Yes, I'm a Laker fan still living in denial. But I can hope, and the games this year will be in HD. So if they lose, at least I'll have a clear view of the proceedings.

Not me. If they were playing an NBA game in my back yard, I would close the blinds.

The Cavs are not contenders. LBJ really needs some good additions to the team to compete with anyone in the West in the finals. Unless that team makes some changes, the Cavs have a zero to nothing chance of winning the finals. One player cannot beat a whole other team (well maybe in the East, but not against the West.)

The West will be just like every other year: San Antonio, Dallas, and Phoenix will be the contenders. Houston will be over hyped and lose in the first round again. The rest will be "hoping" to be contenders, but most aren't near the level of the top-3 right now.

The East will be more unpredictable, but I suspect the top teams to be Chicago, Boston, Cleveland, and Detroit.

I would rather go to College Park and see my Maryland Terrapins play a weak non-conference opponent than go to an NBA Finals game.

You raise a lot of valid points. I hate the traveling, bad attitudes, bulldozing in the lane (except for Shaq when he was with the Lakers ) to compensate for lack of creativity or quickness and excessive 3 point shooting. In fact, I hate the 3 point shot altogether because you get 4 guys standing around the 3 point line while the mid-range game is nearly non-existent.

However, I was bred on the NBA and since I never got into college ball, I'll just focus on the Lakers having another ho-hum season while Kobe hoists 25 shots a game.

if the nba isnt basketball why is there 0 NCAA players on USA basketball? (coach k doesnt count) the nba is great the only people who are really into NCAA basketball or football are the people who attend/ed the colleges that are good teams (florida duke ucla etc) whereas the nba an entire state can follow 1 sometimes 2 teams...anyway enough on that topic my teams are the nuggets cavs knicks nets but in reality its gonna be spurs against cavs boston or miami but im pulling for iverson to geta ring deserves it
