Well my Florida vs Tennessee in the championship match is out now. I really thought the Volunteers were going to win the game with Ohio State, which would have really helped me in the office bracket contest.
I must say that although Ohio State is lucky to be here (Xavier had them and let them go), they also showed me a lot of strength last night. Anyone can come back from behind now and then, but if you manage to do it repeatedly, it is harder to call it a fluke. So now I am pulling for Vanderbilt & Florida, in keeping with my SEC loyalties, even though I picked Georgetown over Vandy in my bracket. I love this time of year - beautiful weather and March Madness. Sadly there is nothing but baseball after this, which I can watch in person but not on TV. Baseball doesn't show well on television, IMO.

Man, Kansas was lucky to get by SIU last night. It almost became the 3rd year in a row they were eliminated so early.
I had thought they had a really good chance to go all the way, now I wonder. Before anyone starts I know how good SIU was I've watched them play in the Missouri Valley all year but, it would have still been a major blow to KU. |

Doesn't matter...UCLA put on a show with Kansas. They also put a dagger into my brackets. Killed my chances in the pool.

UCLA surprised me too! It was my first time watching their squad (east coast)
My 'Heels play today against G'town...I'm nervous just typing this! Hansbrough has to have a helluva game today. I think Oregon has a good chance against FLA if Porter gets going. However, Noah will be shutting down all those easy points in the point Oregon got against UNLV. Hopefully the wifey won't keep me at the mall all afternoon so I can get back in time to see the game...

Well what I was worried about happened, Kansas lost to UCLA, they were not as invicible as they appeared before SIU almost upset them and UCLA completed the job.

Kansas and Memphis where ft shooting teams and eventually catches up to you and it did.Carolina can win without Hansborogh dominating they proved it Friday and in the ACC tourney, they are so deep they just wear you down.

Well the Heels didn't wear down the Hoyas!
Talk about 2nd half meltdowns. 10 point lead with 7 minutes left and they make only one FG for the rest of regulation and only one FG in OT...major choke!

Wonderful games - the people who did the seeding did a good job.
The latest rumor regarding Arkansas basketball is that next week it will be announced that Stan Heath will be replaced by the Texas A&M coach, whose name escapes me. This will be of interest to myself and a handful of other Razorback fans who frequent this forum. I cannot wait to see the remaining matchups!

Looks like Gillespie's staying at A&M with a nice salary raise.

Yes and what a relief! As an alum of Texas A&M, I was sweating this one out all week long. I don't know how long we can keep him though, others will come calling as well...
Guess I better just enough a good basketball program while I can

Ah, if only...
Currently our only opportunity for relevancy in the jock kingdom is Basketball, mens and womens. By the way this is probably Franchione's make it or break it year. Also my apologies for somehow turning "enjoy" into "enough". Although I am an Aggie, I can spell despite this indiscretion

Wow, Florida beat UCLA and it was less close then I would have ever thought it would have been.
Maybe they do deserve to repeat as National Champions! |
