Ya, so much for Michigan's shot at number 1. Duke will be back to number 1 again.

Well Duke may get it back but I think the 1st place votes between Duke & Indiana will be evenly split.
I think it is time to give the team that has the best record in the ACC some serious respect in the polls. Miami has a 1-1 record against top 25 teams outside of ACC & has not lost an ACC game yet & absolutely crushed Duke...So I just can't see how this team could not be in every voters top 5.

Miami will probably lose at Duke but may not lose two games in the ACC this year and if that happens will end up with a 1 seed in a few weeks when the tournament starts. Indiana beat Ohio State, playing a great game and is back at number 1, Duke is a very close second after a poor game at Boston College.

I think March Madness will really live up to it's name this year. Lot of balance all around the country and no one can afford the slightest lapse it seems.

I was just thinking the other day about how the parity in NCAA Hoops is so obvious to any follower that it would be funny that in a year where it is very possible we could see a Final 4 of teams like Miami, St Louis, Colorado State & New Mexico but end up & have a Final Four of teams like Duke, Kentucky, UCLA, Kansas that are always there lol.....i know, i think about silly things sometimes

Kentucky wont make it. It pains me to say this, but Florida is playing some serious ball right now. dammit. Got courtside seats for the UK vs UT game this weekend, was really hoping to see Noel go against Stokes. Oh well,,maybe Ashley Judd will have a nipple slip.

oh yeah I know Kentucky doesn't have a chance I was just mentioning 4 teams that have been to the Final Fours alot as just an example to make my point. Our chances were slim to none with Noel and without him there none.

I've been watching a couple games every day here lately & imo no team is really standing out as clear cut better than anybody else but man there is some great basketball being played every night. those BIG10 games have been just as tough fought as I have seen in basketball in a long time. and I have really been enjoying the late night West Coast games ESPN has been showing.

And with Kentucky out I'll have a few teams that I'll be rooting for to do well.
Of course Cincinnati & Ohio State. plus I'm enjoying rooting for Miami, Florida being a Cinderella team and for the fact that they have Cincinnati Reds superstar Barry Larkin's son on their team as they're starting point guard. Barry's brother Byron Larkin was a star point guard at Xavier University here in Cincinnati back in the 80's so the kids definitely had some great athletic bloodline running in his family.

Whoop Whoop Whoop,,,,smacking the defending NC team, dismantling them by 30 points! What an outstanding performance by me Vols. Seeing Calapari throw his team under the bus, priceless. Those poor UK kids were lost. UK's assistant HC was tossed from the game, two players (Poytress and Stein) argued with the head coach - and they both fouled out within minutes of each other. They did not want to play for Calapari. Great victory for me Vols.

I would say kentucky is definitely not playing up to expectations, injury to noel really hurts, literally. They have no shot come march.

Well, getting close to selection time. My CU Buff teams are both projected for the NCAAs with the ladies a lock, but the men still have a little work to do. Been a while since we've been able to look forward to the tourneys. Colorado has done a complete turn around since football season with CSU ranked and Air Force with a pretty good team. and a good chance at least 2 of them and possibly all 3 in the NCAA.

Should be a great time the next month with the parity across the country. Looking for some good conference tourneys and should be a dandy March Madness.

Congrats Isilvest! as that was a very nice road win by your Colorado Buffaloes! that should really boost their resume.
That Stanford kid made a huge mistake going all the way for a dunk on that last play.

well if any week of the season has showed the craziness that we are about to encounter in March Madness it had to be this one...

first of all I thought Indiana was beginning to separate itself from the pack and sure enough they were upset by Illinois.
and secondly and as crazy is any game Michigan who I think was #4 in the nation got beat by Penn State tonight who has not won a game in the Big Ten I think they were 0-14 before tonight.

And maybe craziest of all is Kentucky is finally starting to play some good basketball lol.

It's going to be a great tourney & these conference tournament should be very entertaining also. it's going to be sad watching the Big East tournament with things like Syracuse playing in it for the last time.

and the big question is could this be the year the number 16 seed upset a number 1 seed.... I think it is very very possible

Thanks. That last play looked a lot like the one ASU beat us on. Can't let that happen. Good win though. Just hope Josh Scott gets cleared to play again as we're really small without him.

BTW, what are you doing up so late, it's after 1 there isn't it?

I'm a night person & usually dont go to bed til 4 or 5am as it works out good cause my daughter who I take back & forth to work is on night shifts mostly & we do most of our eating & stuff together, plus it works out great for me to see all those nice west coast games of college hoops & football

And right now its 2:45am

Well Virginia beat Duke which is I guess considered an upset but that word upset is becoming more meaningless everyday that passes of this year's college basketball season lol

I guess Gonzaga is going to be the new #1 team in the nation as long as they don't lose this week. It'll be interesting to see how they handle the hotspot that nobody wants this year........ I'm still thinking Indiana looks like the best team in it this season not a Hoosier fan but I just think when crunch time comes there going to be very very tough to beat.
