Wow...shocker...due to health. There were rumors of his suffering from really bad headaches that date back to his days as an assistant at Notre Dame.

Unbelievable, but if it is health related...he's making the right move now.

Urban Meyer has made a HUGE mistake I think. He really has hurt the Florida program by making it public saturday he was leaving even though he has changed his tune & only taking a sick leave.

What I mean is that when he said he was leaving all the details came out about his chest pains...So now imagine if your a 17-18 year old football star who can go wherever he wants to play college football will now have to say to himself if Meyer has already quit once because of chest pains what kind of assurance do I have the Coach Meyer is gonna be there until I leave....they have to answer that with they have NO assurance that Meyer won't quit for good next year or the next.

I think Meyer has really hurt the recruiting at Florida now as I would not go there if I was a star & take a chance of a coaching change as no kid wants that.

Prediction: The Florida program goes on the decline within a year or two & never recovers until Meyer is gone for good.

Since the Florida program under Meyer is the absolute best, there is no place to go but down so a decline is one of two possibilities, it remains the best program in college football or it declines. What has he done, 2 national championships in 5 years and highly ranked teams the other 3, including a top 5 this year? Urban Meyer may have serious health problems but Florida wants him back and of course healthy, Florida will be a major football power with Meyer healthy and coaching, that is the common belief. I don't know why he has made announcements about stepping down and then unannouncements and everything is still sort of unclear but I do understand why Florida wants him to continue as the head coach.
