Question Front Speakers suggestions or

reviews.
I am running a Sony 40"XBR HDTV with an Onkyo AV Reciever TX- S600 currently powering 2 Technics floor speakers with 12" woofers, mids, & tweeter. They are big & bulky and I am looking for a warm but crisp sounding replacement towers for them. I am looking to spend under or around $500 if possible.
They will compliment a Cambridge Soundworks center channel & 12"subwoofer as well as 2 Bose surround speakers.

thanks in advance for your thoughts....

Ideally, you would want to match speaker types for the fronts and center since they do the majority of the work in a surround sound system.. well, the center is the real workhorse.

What Bose speakers are you using for the surrounds? If they are the cubes, you have to be careful with the ohms of them unless you are running the signal through one of the Bose subs.

Best Buy carries Definitive Technology magnetically shielded center channel speakers, which should take care of your problem.

The ProCenter 1000 sells for about $220 Here's a link to BB's page

Matching front/mains in bookshelf series is the ProMonitor 1000's and they go for around $220 each Link to them

It's not under 500$ for the package but, from all the reviews I've read, they sound very good
