I am about to buy a pair of Def Tech 7004's (bi-polar). The left speaker will be placed in an area that is 24" x 24" to adjacent walls (see photo). Is this too close for bi-polar's.
Will bringing them out away from the left wall help? |

Bipole speakers should be mounted against the wall. They send out diffused sound that is they are not direct radiating (not directed to the listener) so their sound reflects along and off of the wall. This way the surround is more room filling and makes it difficult to identify just where the sound is coming from.
Did that help?

Actually every Dipole or Bipole speaker I have used was meant to be mounted on a wall or very close to it as they use the wall surface.
