Morning, all...
I am considering replacing one of my surround sound speakers with one that has volume control. I currently use a Cambridge Soundworks 5.1 speaker system. Due to hearing damage I need to turn the volume up and down behind where I sit. I am wondering if there is a replacement speaker that has individual volume control. Would my receiver have problems with such a hookup? Thanks |

If you have a receiver, it should have volume controls for each speaker in it's set up menu. You can adjust volume individually that way and keep your speakers. And after the initial set up, most receivers have a button on the remote which brings up the speakers and you just hit up or down volume to adjust them any time if you want to.
Check your receiver's owners manual for set up instructions. |
