Default I want matching tower speakers for a 7.1 for a big room(15Wx27Lx14H)

I'm looking for some matching speakers for a big theater room(15x27x14) I read I should get them all the same shape, not a set with big and small So i should buy them in pairs, where to begin looking?

I'd prefer 2 paired towers for center(a single center wouldnt work, we have a fireplace)

I'm looking to spend 2k-4k on the speakers.

I'd prefer a wood finish to blend in with the floor but am open to any suggestions. I have no idea where to start. I haven't picked a receiver yet, I read I should get speakers first.

Where to begin! I've never bought speakers before.

Go with Paradigm they last a life time the more you play the better they get,and they have every type you will need.I have 5 in my audio system now and they sound as good as the day I bought them in 2001.

best suggestion is to find a retailer that carries multiple brands and take a listen. Every speaker list are quality sound, but your the one who's gonna be listening. Most of hese should be available at a Magnolia store (Best Buy)

Any of those suggested are a good, high quality choice - you may have trouble trying to do a dual center though, the AVR equipped to handle that may be few and far between . If you have a high end boutique store or possibly a BB Magnolia as rizz suggested I would start there for AVR choices. Try and listen to as many different speakers in a nice environment as you can. It may be a bit of a pain but if you are spending several thousand dollars and are going to live withthis efor a long while then the time is well spent. Evrybody has their own preference when it comes to sound. That being said my absolute favorites are Paradigm and if you can find a dealer I highly suggest you give them a listen. They will be about 1/3 to 1/2 the price of similar quality systems but make no mistake the value is there. They do not sell wholesale to big box stores- only to authorized dealers and everything is made in house - including the parts for the speakers essentially eliminating all middle men and mark-ups allowing them to pass the savings on to you. A 7.1 set-u[ for 2-4k is certainly doable withthem. Subwoofers however are another matter - they don't need to be brand matched like regular speakers. For a subwoofer I would look at HSU Reasearch, SVS, & Elemental designs (ED). - Good luck
