Panasonic SS setup help

Hey, what up?

I bought the panasonic btt370 home theater in a box. I got it about 6 months ago, but lost the manualafter hooking it up. I went to the settings to adjust the audio for the speakers, but I have no idea what any of it means.

I live in an apartment the living room is an ok size. I was wondering what I should set the numbers as because I have no idea.

When my family watches movies the rear speakers are really loud during stuff like explosions; which is great, but I constantly have to adjust the volume because people are hard to hear and then it gets to loud once explosions and stuff like that happens.

Any help on the settings I should have for each speaker. I don't know much about SS and this is my first one.

Page 41 will assist you in adjusting the level of each speaker . . .

get into the menus.
advaned settings, speaker settings, all speakers should be at level 0
all. distance: should be all equal, so measure if you like, and set them accordingly or all at 5ft.
once you have this done run test tones. It will show your all at same level. If some are louder then lower the individual speaker in the menus. test tones will tell you a lot.

If you find dialog is being drowned out by effects, try engaging DRC (Dynamic Range Compression). It may also be called Night Mode. DRC lowers the loud parts and boosts the quiet parts, which can help make dialog easier to hear.
