Set Up Issues - Bose Cinemate GS

I bought the Bose Cinemate GS mainly because the sales guy said set up is a breeze...day 2 and I still can't get it to work. Here's what I have:
Bose Cinemate GS Series II
Sharp Aquos LC-60E88UN
LG Blu-ray player BD555C (connected to TV w/HDMI cable)
Motorola HD cable box (connected to TV w/HDMI cable)
Wii and PS 2

I can only get the sound for the cable box if I connect the optical cable directly from the Bose interface to the cable box...but then no sound will come from anything else. If I connect the optical from the TV to the Bose interface, everything else works except for the cable box.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!!

Return the Bose and buy any other brand of AV receiver. You will be better off in hook-up, sound quality and left-over cash in your pocket.

Indeed. Bose is nothing more than overhyped garbage. Check out this system - http://www.accessories4less.com/make...e-Black/1.html . It will blow the Bose so far out of the water that you'll kick yourself for ever thinking of " BLOSE". Check out the other Onkyo systems at the above site. Any of them will be FAR superior to Bose. These systems are VERY easy to set up, and even include the Audyssey system to automatically calibrate your speakers ! .
