Hello everyone,
I am look at the Klipsch F-3 series system. I have not had a chance to listen to these yet but I have heard the F-1 and they sounded pretty good. Does anyone have any experience with the F-3's or can recommend a great set of speakers for around $2000? |

Are you looking for just a pair of speakers? The F-3s are okay, but there are better ones for $2K.
What are your uses for the speakers (movies, music, etc)? What kind of amplifier do you have? What are your preferences as to sound? Warm? Neural? Bright? Give us more information to help you. |

I am new to home stereo systems so I'm not really sure about what brands are good and which ones are crap. I am looking for spending around $2000 for speakers which would include towers, center, sub etc.. I don't have a receiver but I would be looking for a decent one to power my system as far as what the system would be doing. I will be watching movies and listening to music like rock, rap etc.. you name it and I listen to it.

Are you looking for a full 5.1 system (5 speakers, 1 subwoofer)? If so, 2K will get you started with a nice floor standing speaker system.
As far as receiver/amplifiers go, I recommend Yamaha, Denon, Onkyo and Pioneer for the more "basic" receivers. How much are you looking to spend on the receiver? |

They are not even selling the F3s anymore AFAIK. The replacement WF35 are $1500.00/pair at Best Buy can be found cheaper elsewhere.
The RF82s are a better speaker from the better reference line and are only $1100.00/pair at www.vanns.com here: http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/it...single-speaker Vanns is a very good store IMO and they ARE an authorized Klipsch dealer so the 5 yr. warranty will be good from them.
