Sony MBT-XBR900L Receiver Needed
Sony 30" HDTV receiver malfunction. Video (model DM-927Y) in great shape and love this set but it will cost +$600 to repair receiver and I bought new Sony 46" Bravia for slightly more.
Looking to either buy an inexpensive receiver (XBR MBT-XBR900L mfg in 2003) or sell the Video screen (DM-927Y). Hate the thought of simply tossing the unit! Located in Ventura, (So. CA. ) area north of LA. PS. New to blogs and all this so please keep that in mind.

Good luck, but I had one and the receiver you're referring to is the media module, the controls and guts of the flat panel HD ready 30" WEGA LCD.
You will need to find the exact same media module or repair the other one, the unit cost $6499 when new and at the time was the largest flat panel LCD on the market and the floating panel design was brand new and revolutionary. Good luck!

There is one on auction on eBay, the auction is 170353711787 they're asking $199.00 plus $30.00 shipping.

Sony Receiver
Unitos, thanks for the direction! I managed to purchase a receiver off e-bay (should arrive within the week)
 and would not have been able to do so without your guidance. They do not guarantee it will work as their's was a different Sony model but I am keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks again for your help! For others who have stressed interest in the video, should the receiver not work I will likely post the screen rather than try and purchase another receiver. I will keep you informed. |
