Default Toshiba XA1 HD DVD player for sale!

I hate to get rid of it, but I'm offering my LIKE NEW in perfect condition Toshiba XA1 up for sale with the latest 4.0 firmware update installed (it runs flawlessly).

It still has a full coverage warranty with Square Trade until 9/19/2010, so you're covered and safe for 1 year 2 months and 3 weeks more, what could make you feel safer about a purchase then that, it's longer then the factory warranty was when it was brand new.

I would like to get $225.00 for it plus shipping (I paid $795.00 and I thought it was and still is a bargain)

For any of you that have not actually seen on in person, it is built way better then any other DVD player I can think of, literally built like a tank just like they use to build high end equipment but don't anymore (heck it weighs 29 pounds for gosh sakes).

Dual chassis with high end isolating feet, it decodes most of the big High Definition audio codecs onboard such as Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS and DTS-HD with 5.1 analog outputs.

It has Multichannel 24-bit/193-kHz audio DACs, it has far from ordinary built-in four high performance DSP engines to decode the multi-channel streams of a wide array of audio formats (both HD DVD, DVD and CD), these 32-bit floating-point DSPs are world renowned for the high accuracy and are used in many top of the line high-quality audio solutions in the home audio/theater market

High Definition DVD playback via HDMI interface, standard DVD up-conversion to 720p/1080i through HDMI interface and remember if you have a newer 1080p HDTV it will de-interlace the signal and you get a 1080p picture presented on your screen.

Although as we all know even though the standard DVDs will look much better they do not have the content to look exactly as good as a real HD DVD will, but they will be vastly improved.

Because it decodes internally, the signal remains free from excessive digital-to-analog conversion artifacts, which also means you have a vastly improved picture from both types of media.

This particular HD DVD player won the "2006 Electronics Product of the Year Award" from one of the largest Home electronics magazines in the USA.

If anyone is interested, I could have it packed to ship within one to 2 days max after payment and I could go online and change over the warranty to their name and address very quickly.

Also, if needed I could take pictures of the unit and post them, I swear it looks brand new.

I don't mean to be slamming your thread here, but I can get one of these at my local FYE for $100. There is one in the back of the store with dust all over it unopened. They are certinly still around, you just have to be wiling to look.

Just my

No offense meant, just trying to help you out selling it

No offense, but how would you know if it works just fine (it should but who knows), and it probably would not have any warranty so if you buy it and it is non functioning, I would hope you could just return it for a full refund, but what if you couldn't (I'm not aquainted with FYE and their return of old left over stock).

And I've seen them on eBay for $100 or more up to over $300 and again how do you know for certain they work just fine?

I am quite willing to just keep my XA1, it works perfectly and has full coverage warranty left on it for over a year.

If some one decides they would like it let me know, I'm not going to give it away, like it is not one of the better players I've ever owned.

Maybe if one of you want one get xcitor to get you that one at FYE, if it is an unopened left over it probably will just fine.

This might have been better handled in a PM to Unotis instead of posting this in his selling thread.

It sounds like xcitor would probably be happy to go to FYE and get the new unopened XA1 and all anyone would need to do is pay him the $100 plus tax and the cost of shipping and insurance should be around $35 to $40.

So if any of you would like a great deal, I would contact him and arrange it.
