Default B&k Avr 507

I've been thinking about downsizing my system and going to a smaller easier to hide set-up.

So I'm going to offer my superb B&K AVR 507 7.1 receiver.

It has power ratings of:

8 ohms 7 x 150w or 5 x 150w

4 ohms 7 x 185w or 5 x 185w

Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Digital Surround EX, DTS Neo:6, DTS-ES "Extended Surround".

B&K is a relatively small company in Buffalo, New York that competes very well with giant multi-national electronic companies because of it's reputation for design, development of the best audio video receivers in the world and it's special relationship with Motorola, B&K is the alpha test site for Motorola's new state-of-the-art processors.

B&K also know to perfect many firsts in audio/video technology, they also make things simple as possible, that means fewer parts for more direct signal paths and cleaner sound. It also means specifying the best parts, like 1% resistors instead of 5% or gold plated contacts instead of soldered tin.

And the system is easily upgrade for future technology, in fact B&K's engineers have earned the reputation for this ability to internally upgraded as new technologies evolve.

That means you can buy now and easily upgrade for future needs, no more constantly buying new receivers or equipment to take advantage of new exciting breakthroughs.

I paid a few years ago over $3600 when the system was the cutting edge of the Aduio/Video receiver technology.

Now you can buy this receiver for as little as $2600 (at only one place) everywhere else it is still over $3000

I saw a slighty beat up one on the Audiogon High End Audio Auction wesite sell for $999 mine looks like new and functions perfectly so I will sell to anyone wanting to step up to the top tier of home Audio/Video Receivers (there is no better brand available)

for $1350 plus $50 shipping & insurance (this thing weighs over 40lbs).

I will take Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, personal checks (it will ship after it clears) and even PayPal if you like.

I did a little more research, they still list for $3599 now.

And the receiver weighs like 56lbs so I under estimated the weight in the previous posting, but I will stick with the price I will ship and insure it for even if it costs me more.

I saw one like mine (used but in like new condition) today advertised online for just under $1800, so it would appear I'm offering it at a pretty good price.

If it turns out no one on the forum wants it, I might just luck out, after all I offered my Sony LCD HDTV on the forum for $999, no one was interested and I then advertised it on line and sold to a gentleman from Ohio for $1100 and he drove down to pick it up in person.

Also by the way the second picture above is from the website because I'm paralyzed and cannot take it out of the rack myself to photograph the rear panel (it is identical because that is the factory photograph of my unit).

Here is the list of all supported audio decoding in the unit.

Dolby, Dolby Digital, Dolby ProLogic II, Dolby ProLogic IIx, DTS, DTS-ES, THX, THX-EX, THX Ultra 2

And according to B&K they're getting prepared to offer a 1.3 HDMI upgrade, that would probably make this one of the finest (if not the) most up to date AVR on the planet.
