Default Harmony One - Remote control lamp?

I'm interested in controlling my halogen floor lamp via remote control and I have a Harmony One remote. Where do I get started? what devices will I need to achieve this?

Does anyone know if the X-10 lamp remotes modules are compatible with Harmony One? Will I be able to dim my floor lamp with Harmony remote?

Good question, I'm looking into this as well.

I am steering towards the IRLinc Receiver - IR to INSTEON Converter from Smarthome.

X10 Compatible
IRLinc is fully INSTEON compatible and X10 ready. Homeowners with existing X10 networks can easily migrate to an INSTEON network without having to discard all their existing X10 devices. X10 ready means that IRLinc can control X10 devices, using X10 commands. Please note that IRLinc can control either X10 devices or INSTEON devices, but not both for any given IR command sent from your universal remote.

To dim your light, adding the LampLinc should work but not for fluorescent lights.

This simple-to-use plug-in dimmer has advanced features like an adjustable ramp rate that slowly brings the lamp on, a preset dim level that stores your preferred choice of 32 brightness levels when turning the lamp on initially, as well as local control, so you can still use the lamp's built-in switch to turn the light on and off.

If you want to turn on and off a fluorescent light then the ApplianceLinc will work.

This on/off module controls all standard appliances like fans, fluorescent lights, and many other non-dimmable devices up to 15 amps and incandescent lights up to 480 watts.
