Anyone know if I can program 550 to watch movies on the PS3?

Not without a 3rd party solution. the 550 is IR only and the PS3 is bluetooth only. There are a number of options though. I started using the Nykko Blu-Wave remote. It has an IR adapter that plugs into a USB port on your PS3. It's about $15. The cool part is that you can program your 550 with all the Blu-wave codes and you get remote control of the PS3. But you don't get power on/off.
Over in the Blu-ray players thread, I just went through my personal review of the IR2BT. It's an IR to Bluetooth adapter that translates your harmony IR codes into Bluetooth codes for the PS3. Since it's BT, it gives you power on/off from your Harmony. It's $55, which is not cheap, but when you pay $500 for a remote, $55 isn't so bad. Hope that helps.

The Nyko Blue-wave remote and the included USB adapter is how I have accomplished using a universal IR remote control with the PS3. The PS3 can not be powered on or off with the remote, but everything else I can think of works great. There are a few people using a Harmony remote with the PS3 but I don't have a Harmony and can't discuss any possible issues. I paid $10 for my Nyko Blue-wave remote control.

It does work, but I would recommend double checking the button assignments. I think the default sets the "OK" button on the harmony 550 as "select" for the PS3. That will not work! You can remap it though.
