Default universal remote control with internet browser

About a year ago I saw a universal remote control with an internet browser built into it that accesses your wireless system. Anyone know which models have internet browsers that are accessible on the lcd screen?
Thanks!!

Talking Uei & Urc

You can get those now with Universal Remote Control (URC)

http://www.universalremote.com/produ...l.php?model=34

You have two companies doing most of this stuff URC and UEI.. UEI has the Nevo Line of Remotes

The URC MX3000 doesn't brouse the internet...you get remote codes from the internet. URC's website only, and only to update codes for new products. It can operate any remote controlled product (if PC is remote controlled, then it can operate PC).

I don't know much about the NEVO, but it looks pretty cool.

The Philips Pronto device never really sold well due to its lack of performance...you can look at other sites, and see what others say about it.

Any product, such as a remote that is asked to do too much especially the first in the market is going to have issues! Or going to cost an arm and a leg!

MX3000, is just one of those remotes you can live without, but internet browsing on remote? I don't care for URC stuff but and UEI is well known for their OEM remotes. NEVO does wireless you can also use it with a PC as Server to control all kinds of stuff or access things. It has a lot of options.

If anybody here is going to buy a Universal Remote or any kind of remote they need to buy it from UEI or URC. As that's all they do is remotes. UEI is more of a favorite for me as it's easy to setup the remote. Radio Shack Universal Remotes 15-2146 and 15-100 are UEI brands. One-In-ALL are the same. URC remotes look like they're a bit complex and I didn't care for their Consumer Service. I had got 4 of their remotes an then all of a sudden I the memory got so full that I started to loose codes that were programmed.

Philips remotes are not that great.. None of they are any good. They do make good cables and a few other things. But the remotes are crap!

I agree w/ you on the MX3000, its cool at first...but if you have a DVR you will hate it! I personally have the MX850...haven't had any issues yet (knock on wood). I guess I need to buy more stuff!

UEI is a company that I'm not as familiar w/, have to look into them later...

I definitely agree w/ you on Phillips...more problems w/ their products in the past than any other than I can recall. I'm not a big fan of touch screens anyway, and it's all that they can make. I don't know about their cables, but I can make a descent cable out of RG-6 and a "F" connector and a "RCA" end.

Yes I have done a vey deep investigation into UEI - Universal Electronics Inc. They make the cable box remotes for Motorola DCT series and the ones with the DVR also M780. That's how I knew that the Voice Prompt was made by them and you know if they made that one it was going to work with my DCT remote. Sure enough it works. I couldn't get the URC brand to work with none of the stuff I had. I found it not user friendly to work with plus it look like something I would use at work for Intermec Wireless.

I going to get UEI 10-in-1 with RF and do some more testing with it. One project I have is to mount the HDTV in Kit/Den area and hide the DCT 6200 box in the basement/fam room. Then use the UEI 10-in-1 with RF to control that box without looking at it.

That would have to be done after NYears, right now Xmas stuff is going on.. I can tell you one thing I can control all my inflat Xmas Bear and animated bear outside using the Voice Prompt Remote and all my lighting controled through RF devices in the house.
