Element FLX-3210 32" LCD HDTV Remote Control Code

Hello,

I just bought an Element FLX-3210 32" LCD HDTV at Circuit City. It comes with a remote control, but I am looking for a 3-digit code to program my Time Warner Cable DVR remote control so I do not have to use two remotes for the television. Currently, the TWC remote controls the DVR box, guide, and channels. The Element remote control controls the volume, picture size and inputs.

The tv came with a 4-digit code (0178) for TWC, but as my remote control only takes 3-digit codes, this does not work. I also tried codes for polaroid, as I saw someone else post that element is a subsidiary of polaroid.

I just found this one and it worked on my TWC remote!!! 10178

for whatever reason it appears the leading 1 was lost in the documentation.

I was told that 0128 also works on some other models... never needed to try that one.

I was so happy that I found the code that worked...but when my TV died (due to an apparent defect with it being able to handle a PC going into powersave...another post), Circuit City replaced it with no question (THANK YOU CC!!). But when I got the replacement, the original TV remote (which I didnt replace) continues to work, but the TWC cable remote no longer worked with the 10178 code.

After nearly a year with no luck, I finally found a solution...at least for my TV. I used the code for Vizio and it worked!! The code I used is 386. 387 is another Vizio code if 386 doesn't work. I have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HDC set top box with TWC cable. Best of luck to ya!

If you go to radio shack and buy the $29 buck 8-in-one remote will work with the set. But you have to teach it to work with it. I have the Element listed below pretty much the same remote used. I have no problems using my Voice Prompt $14 buck 6-in-one no longer available well in my area though. You might find either one at Radio Shack or Amazon had them too.
