I have problems with my activities button turning items off when they are on. For example, if my Blu-ray is already powered on and I'm watching tv and I select "watch movie" activity button, it will turn off my Blu-ray. Is there any tweaking I can do to the remote to prevent that from happening?

If the player is already on then yes it will turn it off. When you hit the watch movie button it is sending a power toggle signal to the BD player.

You must first turn off the activity your using and then press the new activity and it will power up all necessary components nec. The 1100 does not require that sequence if I go from watching TV to View a blu ray it will just change whatever components that are needed and reset all inputs as nec.

The Harmony line does not have any intelligent switching ability (it can't determine if equipment is off or on). As others have said, you need to make sure your equipment is off prior to turning it on using an activity. You also need to make sure that when you switch activities you keep the remote pointed at your equipment and make sure it turns off.

I too have had the same thing happen. What appears to happen is the Harmony remote sends a PWR Toggle to the device. You just need to make sure all components are OFF before using the remote.
I find this difficult as my girlfriend uses other remotes to do stuff.

Could be that way with yours, but not with mine. I can go from any activity to another without turning off the current activity. It does all the appropriate commands with all the correct delays. And mine is a 650. Now once in a while when I go from satellite to OTA, it gets the input wrong, but all you do is hit "HELP" and it changes it to the correct input. But that's only happened twice since I've had it. I even programmed it at work and took it home and had to make no adjustments- worked just fine!

The way I understand it is that it depends on the device. For example my receiver has a button for power on and power off on the harmony. The PS3 I believe has one PWR button. So if it is already on and I click "Play PS3" it just sends a power pulse. Best thing to do is if that happens, just hit "Help" and the first thing it will do is cycle the power of the device and ask "did that fix it?" At least that's how it is on the ONE that I have.

Check if there is a separate on and off command for your blu-ray player, some devices have them, others just toggle.
If it does then just send the on command in the chain of commands.

it turns it off because it only has a power toggle and not a power on power off. i believe my old toshiba HD-A2 player is like that.
