Default Direct TV remote problems

Hey everyone,

I just got Direct TV in my place after moving, I got the new HD reciever/DVR hooked up to my new Sony TV model number KDL-40S5100, now when the guys came and hooked it up, they said that the remote won't work with the tv........how can this be fixed?
