code for bulb hrs used Mitsubishi LCD

Mitsubishi LCD WD-52531-What is the code to see bulb hrs used and what is the procedure to do this? I saw a serviceman do this on another Mit. Tv that I have. He would not give me the code. I am a newbe and I have searched this thread with no luck. I am new and may not have used the correct keywords. Would it be the same for my other Tv-a 65" Mit Diamond Dlp?

Howdy partner,If your tv is between 4000-5000 hrs of usage 1-2 yrs old and picture is going dimmer and dimmer then its time to replace the bulb.This is the part number your tv uses : 915P043010.I was able to find it on ebay Get the Philips since they normally last 2-4 yrs 6000-8000 hrs.Have a blessed day partner.

Thank you for the phillips bulb tip, but do you know the numerical code to check the hours used with the current bulb which has never been replaced?

Try this

1. press MENU , then
2. 2470 -- the hours should be at the bottom of screen
3. press menu and don't do anything while in the while in the service menu
