Default StudioSeries 43HD43A RPTV standby mode

Okay there's a story on this one. A few months ago my boss at work gave me this TV for free 'cause it was broke. I have no experience in TV's at all, but I figured, I could risk working on it since it was free. So I got the TV to my house and turned it on, and the colors (R,G,B) were out of alignment and bowed something awful. So I got online and looked up, "crazy colors on tv". It lead me to a convergence IC's blowing out or something. So I headed on to samsung online to buy the part, and apparently the don't make the same one anymore, but I did find one board that was relatively close to it, the STK392-040 number was the same on the old board but the numbers in the upper right of the IC was different on the new one. I went ahead and bought it anyway and soon after I had it in the TV. Turned it on, black screen, then perfect focus, and it worked brilliantly. However, only the side edges were bowed a little, not too much considering what I had before, so I left it alone.

About a month later I was getting comfortable wit hthe TV working with the upgraded chip, and I started digging into the service menu trying to fix the bows on the sides of the TV. I came to the option "Bow" and adjusted it and the left side of the TV straightened out to almost perfect, but the other side got worse, lol. So anyway I put the bow value back to what is was (the original bow on both sides) and preceded to play an xbox game. A few minuted later I heard a loud pop in the back of the TV, then the screen went black, and turned back on, so I rushed to turn it off, but before i could the screen went black again and the red standby light was blinking. What luck eh? I knew I shoudn't have tried to fix that bow..

But anyway, I did some more research and replaced the main fuse, ( i know for a loud bang it couldn't have been that, but it was only 89 cents.) That didn't work, so I took my old convergence board and plugged it back up, to see if I could get a picture at all and that didn't work either, So I know it isn't the board. SO the main questions are, What have I broken? and, what I did in the service menu reset, or will the new part that I replace be blown just like the last one as soon as I put it in? Thank you for reading all this boring mumbo jumbo.
