Default How difficult is it to change a bulb in a Mitsubishi TV VS50803?

I have the VS 50803 Mitsubishi and yes it is old however it still works. My question is how difficult is it to change a bulb, are they expensive and lastly is it worth even doing this? The TV is 11 years old therefore I hate to pour to much money into it. I just bought a new plasma so this is a back up now. I hate to buy a bulb or bulbs and then find there is something else more that needs to be fixed. I guess I am asking is it worth it??

This model is a CRT based RPTV so there are no "bulbs" to replace. It has 3 CRT tubes (red/green/blue) that would need to be replaced, and then there is service menu adjustments likely to be needed after that so I do not recommend this for the faint of heart to attempt alone.

For an 11 year old display, it is likely not worth it and there is little market for such a heavy big display as this. You might try selling it for $100.00 just to save the cost of trash removal and someone who doesn't have a HDTV might be interested to get started with HDTVs.
