Default TV turns off unexpectedly

I just bought yesterday a RCA 52" HDTV model DW52W19 in Walmart. I just sat up my DVD and everything was working fine until late last night when all of the sudden it turned off. I follow the troubleshooting guide and make sure that the sleep timer was not activeted. I have to unplug the TV for few minutes to be able to turn it on again. But after watching it for a couple of minutes if turns off itself again and again. I tried three different power outlets and a cheep Surge Protector. I have the fealing that the voltage on my house is not normal. Any suggestion?

Get a good UPS to power it. Do you have any other electronics that act in the same manner? I don't know if that particular model of RCA has a fan on it's power supply but it is a possibility it's overheating.

Thanks for your suggestion oblioman. As a matter of fact my wife told me this morning that the washing machine turned itself off this morning. I think I'm getting power surges and the HDTV is sensitive enough to shut itself off for its own protection. I be getting an UPS today to see if it makes the difference. The service guy is schedule to service the TV on Tuesday. I will ask him about the TV's power supply them.
