Hi,
I got a Samsung 5067 DLP tv this weekend, the Pic is good and HD chanel is nice. and samsung has a PC port, it is good. But I have question for the PC port, in the manul, it says: for 1024 * 768 you can chose the pic size from "wide tv" and "wide PC". basiclly "wide tv" is a overscan version of "wide pc", which will make the task bar of windows out of screen. "wide pc" is nice it shows all the pc screen, and the TV has a black area suround it. when I change the resolution of widows desktop to 1280 * 720, the screen option become "16:9" "4:3". in both mode I will not see the task bar, when I refer to the user manual, it says: in 1280 * 720 (PC mode), you can chose from "wide PC" "Wide TV" in 1280 *720 (DTV mode), you can chose from "16:9" "4:3" My question is: what does (PC mode), and (DTV mode) mean? how can I change the TV from DTV mode to PC mode? or shall I change my windows from DTV mode to PC mode? Any one has any idea? |

Your PC graphics mode should be set to 1280 x 720p @ 60 Hz. Your TV should also have another setting beside Wide PC and Wide TV... Enhanced or something like that... this is usually the best setting. Wide TV has standard 5% overscan, Wide PC has 5% underscan. Enhanced is about 2% overscan & 1:1 pixel mapping.

It's in the TV setup menu, under 'PC'...
