2 problems with Samsung 61"

I recently bought the Samsung 61" and was originally very happy with it. But a problem started occuring a few days after being installed.

Intermittently, the set will not turn on. It will sound like it's cycling through something and eventually the three lights on the front (2 green, 1 red) start flashing on and off and the set does not come on. This seems to happen most often when the set was on and turned off within an hour previously.

Best Buy came by twice to replace the set but each time the new sets ended up having some sort of pixalation/interference at the top of the viewing area (was black/white lines). I use a DirecTV HD TIVO. I've kept the original set since this type of interference does not happen with the set that has a problem with turning on. I'm awaiting yet another one.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had any problems of this sort. And what you might think the above problems would be caused by.

it is probably the lamp ballast going since the lmp is mercury vapor needs a big jolt to get going. and samsung will replace with ease. but if you can get best buy to swith set for the newer hlp 61 from samsung do that!
