Default CRT vs. LCD vs. DLP

I am looking for some guidance. I am sure that this has been discussed many times before, but I am looking to help a friend who is planning to purchase a HDTV.

Right now he is looking at a Mitsubishi WS65713, which is a CRT based model. I have read about the CRT burn-in issues, but more importantly has the viewing angle improved on CRT sets relative to LCD or DLP.

I know that each technology has its issues, but I am looking for some advice on the best performance, where price is really not an issue.

I plan on having my friend get the set ISF calibrated so this should help even the "playing field" for all the manufacturers.

what are the advantages/disadvantages for each technology and where can I find these summarized. I have not been able to locate an unbiased source for this.

Thanks for you assistance.

I found a good article on Home Theater Magazine that compares many different rear projection HDTVs (CRT, LCD, and DLP).

Find it at: The 2004 HD Rear Projection Face-Off

Ok...here's what I would ask your friend...Is he going to be viewing the TV mainly "dead on"? Then, ask if he changes his furniture often?
then ask, if he has enough room to have the television come out about two feet from the wall...or only like a foot or so...? also ask to see how much he is willing to spend...then ask if he likes the ability to change out a burnned out bulb by himself...then base the purchase off of those answers...

Any comments on the SONY KDF-60XBR950? I am on the verge of taking the plunge unless someone can talk me out of it!
