Default Now What?

I too experienced the blinking green ligh of death as described here. After doing some research online I disassembled my TV, replaced 8 caps on two boards and put it all back together. My blinking green light went away!

Now the problem is I have no picture at all! After the set powers up I press the Device and Menu buttons for 5 sec and get error code 12; No error detected, check power supply.

Any body seen this before?
Did I leave something unconnected when I put it all back together?

Default Mit. WS 65411 green light

I have just had the same problem with power to the tv, the green light comes on for a few seconds i hear a click and then it goes off, no picture on the tv. I belive i might have had a surge as my cable box will not turn on as well. I have tried different outlets, the only thing that is strange is that the audio is conected to the same power strip and it is fine. Is there a fuse on this model or does anyone have an thoughts, thanks.

Hi folks,
Been posting in another forum about my BGLOD issues (WD 62725). In a weird moment of clarity when I bought the set 3.5 years ago, I got the 5 year warranty. I am running about 5 weeks now, and Mits. does not make replacement boards (DM, etc.) but the way they handle it now is they make the service center ship the entire chassis back to them and they rebuild it. They said maybe 2-3 weeks but we'll see. I was kind of hoping that it would be such an expense that the warranty co. would offer me a buyout. But if I can get this fixed I will buy myself some time to see how all the new technology shakes out, e.g. Mits. Laser, next gen Sammy, etc.

I feel for the non-Warrany people, and I was not sure that I got the 5 yr. vs. 3yr, so I was fully prepared to do surgery on the box as you are. Good luck, and I will report how Mits handles this repair.

Default Please email me if you need these instructions

Hi folks:

It has come to my attention that for some reason I've not been getting immediate email notification when some people have P.M.'d me, and since I have not been checking this forum thread on a regular basis, this has resulted in numerous people having to wait 2 - 3 weeks before I find out - and send them the instructions.

If you want to get the instructions expediently, just click on my username "Paul D318" and then click on "Send an email to Paul D318" and then BE SURE TO INCLUDE THE EMAIL ADDRESS YOU WANT THE INSTRUCTIONS SENT TO!

You would not believe how many request I've gotten from people who do not list their email address in their public profile on this forum, and must think I'm also psychic and can figure out their email address on my own!

I'm happy to send them. Just need an email address...

I am having the same GBLOD issue. After reading alot of posts here and other places, I decided to take a shot at it. I have almost everything apart but I cant get the DM out to change the caps. Are the fuses in the same spot? I would also like to check tose. Any help or photos from anyone with a WD-52725?
Thanks in advance from a very frustrated wannabe TV repairman.
You can also email me direct at backstreets81 which is at aol (cant post URLs yet here).
Thanks again.

Default Thank you Paul

I posted on here a couple weeks ago with the dreaded blinking light and am happy to say that 4 caps and a couple hours later, my TV is good as new.

Many thanks to you Paul for giving me the directions I needed to fix my TV. I had zero experience working on a circuit board prior to this but figured what did I have to lose, so I gave it a shot.

Thanks,

Mike

Default Blinking Green Light

I have a Panasonic PT-52dl10 52 in DLP, it too has the "green light of death". It worked perfectly before it was in storage for about almost one year and now just blinks (STAND-BY). Do you believe that these DLP share similar parts? The lamp looks fine, but it will not light up. May I too have a copy of these instructions with the hope that these models are similar in design?

Hi All:

Please accept my apologies for taking so long to get back to the so many of you that have requested the repair instructions in the past week or so.

I've been on vacation at the North Carolina Outer Banks (we stayed in Avon, just north of Cape Hatteras, for those of you not familiar with the area) and it was both beautiful & relaxing.

I hope that none have given up yet, and have not yet "used your TV for target practice", as one of you said he was getting ready to do!!!

Some of you either PM'd or emailed me for the instructions, but failed to send me (or PM me) your email address.

AGAIN - I need to know WHERE to send them.

Email me at pds318 (at) verizon.net.

Thank you Paul for taking the time to help all these people. So many people appreciate it.

It is just too bad that Mitsubishi doesn't help these people as much as you have.

I just wanted to thank you on behalf of all those you have helped and likely will help in the future. Great job!!!!!!!!

Just lugged a 65813 home from my mother in law's friend's house. Seemed fine a month ago. Maybe it just gave out and she didn't say anything so we'd slave it out of her house. Anyways... GBLOD!!!! please help with instructions. It looks like the DM module has a green led on the board. It will go solid... blink 16 times and go out... then come on solid... wait 10 secs and repeats.

I cannot post my email because I haven't made 5 posts. I am haydenm315 at gmail dot com

I have a 52725 with the intermittent GBLOD. Does the Mitsu have a Microsoft core???

Anyway, the set will be 4yrs old in February. It has an intermittent failure that can be reset by unplugging for an hour. Takes a few resets to get it to work. If I push the 'reset' button, it will fail for sure.

Also have been getting an error message that the RGB or the YbYr inputs are invalid. This occurs even when I have video and sound. Don't know why.

Third problem that occasionally the light won't turn on. The set will power up, the sound comes on, but no light. No backlight bleed either. Have to power off/on to get it to work.

Anyway, the local shop that the warranty company referred to me came today and picked up the set. They estimated 6-8 weeks to send it to the repair shop. I tried to get a rental set from the local shop and from the warranty company, but neither would. Therefore I am stuck with my 25 inch CRT. They local shop said they would replace the bulb under warranty as it has been 3 1/2 years on the original.

Now, we wait........

Sorry to hear about your issue. I almost bought a Mitsubishi back in 12/2004, but went with the RCA instead, and I am now glad I did given all the problems with the Mitsubishi.

I would insists that they provide a loaner since it is gone that long. It is BB or CC where you bought it?
