Default Paul I had the green light, but no death?!!

Paul, I really hope you can help with this as my warranty ran out last year. I was away at work and grandpa was watching the kids at home two weeks ago. As the story was told to me, he was trying to switch the device menu to the vcr to entertain the kids. He ended up in the tv menu and the tv hasn't worked correctly since!
The tv powers up fine but is trapped on regular cable tv. Anytime the device menu is selected it does nothing, but power itself off after a one minute delay. You can't select the dvd, direct tv, vcr, or anything else. UGGHH! Please HELP!!!

Hi, new member here.

I have a Mitsubishi 65908 and my TV would not power on today. Green light blinks for a second and then goes out. I've done some internet research and it appears this is a common problem.

Can you (or anyone) send me the repair instructions for this. I understand it has to do with possibly replacing some capacitors.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Default get a roll of black tape.

electrical/duct/gaffer tape will do the job. works in my truck for the "low fuel lite" that is always on.

Default same problem..

WoW! My Green light Blinking issues occured "THE DAY" of the BCS Championship Football game!!!

Apparently, Mits has something against College sports in America....??!!!

Sears tried fix about 5 times (including your same repair), now they said screw it and are getting me replacement.

Default what I found out about my tv (WD 62825)

called the warranty people and the guys came out and took one look and said that the tv will have to be sent to Mitsubishi, they won't have the parts, and we will be compensated for the remainder of the warranty-we are definitely not up to the repair process you all have described or we would. SO we will be looking for a new tv while this one is gone (prob about 2 months) and prob not by another Mitsubishi

Default Good for you!

Good for you that:

a) you stil have some of your warranty coverage remaining, and

b) have figured out that Mitsubishi may not be the best choice when deciding on which brand of TV to buy.

Sadly, I was out of warranty, as are many others here, and think that it is outrageous that Mitsubishi thinks they owe us no assistance for an issue with their product that is obviously widespread. I can assure you that this experience will be very prominent in my decision-making process the next time I'm shopping for a new TV.

Good luck with your new set. Maybe when you get your Mitsu back you can use it for a boat anchor - if you have a boat.

Paul
