Would it be worth it to fix this TV my friend found in the street

He found a 36 inch rear projection tv in the street. the image is slanted, doubled,and the only colors shown are green and red . I keep telling him its not worth it to get the tv fixed and to just put it back where found it. He was told the piece he needed to replace was the convergence vertical module. Fixing this tv would probably cost more than buying a new one?

If he can fix it himself, it might be worth a shot-- but then if he could do that-- he would already know the answer to your question.
